'From growing up on the Kazakh Steppe learning classical piano and Soviet patriotic hymns to cleaning KGB offices and studying Choir Conducting and Jazz in post-Perestroika St.Petersburg to learning English and serving food at Gonville & Caius college in Cambridge (Stephen Hawking was a fellow and yes, she met him once!) to discovering Non-Duality, Yoga, Eastern & Western Healing modalities and traditional Indian devotional singing practice (kirtan) in London, to appreciating this moment wherever she finds herself, Vita's journey continues'.
Having spent most of my Summer school holidays at my maternal grandmother's village in Caucasus region of Southern Russia, i've been exposed to traditional healing modalities since my early childhood. My mother led and encouraged 'natural' lifestyle, so it wasn't surprising that when i later in life discovered Eastern philosophies and healing modalities, that shared Holistic / Whole-istic view, i became intrigued and eager to learn more.
I started with Hatha yoga and meditation in 2001. Then went on to study Therapeutic Bodywork and earned my first certification - in Swedish massage - from Morley College in London in 2004. Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Thai Yoga / Tui-na Massage certifications followed. In 2013 i completed 2 years of Integrated Masters in Complementary Medicine / Ayurvedic Medicine studies in Middlesex University in London, during which Ayurvedic Massage was taught.
While studying Ayurveda i discovered raw vegan diet and, more recently, Dry Fast and Autonomous lifestyle.
