Ayurvedic Massage combines the 5,000-year-old Indian principles of Ayurveda—'the science of life'—and pressure points. This type of massage is designed to create balance among the mind, body, and spirit, and help the body heal itself. It’s sometimes referred to as an “oil massage” because it typically incorporates warm oil, as well as time-honored and non-traditional strokes and kneading that suit an individual’s needs.
Indian Head Massage, also known as Champissage, is a treatment that focuses on massaging acupressure points along the head, neck, and shoulders, often using circular massage strokes to improve hair and scalp condition. It originates from Ayurveda, whereby it is believed that the mind and body are intricately connected and thus can influence one another. Through this theory, is is understood that Indian head massage can not only reduce headaches and improve physical well-being, but it can also improve mental and emotional wellness too.
